WORCESTER, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University women's volleyball team was all business against a pair of strong teams in the New England region. The No. 5 Wildcats posted a 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-21) win over Babson then followed with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-10) triumph versus Clark.

Johnson & Wales got better with each set against Babson. The Wildcats finished the match by hitting .341 in the third set.
JWU was also sound on defense as four players had 10 or more digs for a 74-58 margin. Libero Elyssa Nicolas led the way with 25, followed by setter Brylee Frank who had a double-double with 37 assists and 16 digs.
The Beavers could not stop the 1-2 combination of Maria Coniglio and Katie Leidhold on the outside. Coniglio had a match-high 16 kills and 11 digs while Leidhold also had a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs.
The Wildcats hit a season-high .423 in the win over Clark. Six different players hit over .400, led by freshman Elisabeth Elbrecht. She had a season-high 10 kills while hitting at a .909 clip.
Johnson & Wales was also strong defensively. JWU had a 53-38 advantage in digs with 23 coming from Nicolas. The Wildcats also had five blocks.
It's a rematch of the NCAA regional final on Tuesday when the Wildcats travel to No. 20 MIT for a 6 p.m. contest.
