Wildcats Start GNAC Action with 3-0 Sweep at Anna Maria

PAXTON, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University women's volleyball team remained undefeated as it opened the conference portion of its schedule. The Wildcats went on the road to defeat Anna Maria 3-0 (25-13, 25-8, 25-10) on Wednesday.

Dating back to the 2015 season, Johnson & Wales has won its last 15 conference matches.

The Wildcats got out to fast starts in all three sets and dominated the AMCATS in all phases. Johnson & Wales had a .337 to -.041 margin in hitting percentage while holding the advantage for digs (47-32) and aces (13-2). The 13 aces are the most by the Wildcats since they posted 16 against Suffolk on September 13, 2016.

It was a balanced attack as 11 different players recorded at least one kill. Sophomore Elizabeth Hamilton (Canton, Mass.) led the way with 10 kills to go along with eight digs and four aces. Hannah Dolan (San Clemente, Calif.) followed with seven kills.

Freshman Mikayla Arimura (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) notched a season-high 24 assists and Bella Oldham (Irvine, Calif.) produced a season-best 11 digs.
