PROVIDENCE, RI – The Johnson & Wales University women's volleyball team stayed perfect with a non-conference victory on Thursday. The Wildcats won their last regular season home match over Salve Regina by a score of 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-15).

Johnson & Wales: 28-0
While both teams were strong at the net, JWU had 10 blocks compared to eight by the Seahawks, it was Johnson & Wales' back row that made the difference. The Wildcats had a 58-39 advantage in digs which translated to a .294-to-.026 hitting percentage advantage.
Three players reached double-digit kills, led by Emily Kalmink's (Byron Center, Mich.) match-high 11 kills to go along with 18 blocks. Freshmen Elizabeth Hamilton (Canton, Mass.) and Maria Coniglio (Old Bethpage, NY) each had a double-double. Hamilton recorded 10 kills and 13 digs while Coniglio added 10 winners and 11 digs as well as four blocks.
Setter Brylee Frank (Palm City, Fla.) had another strong all-around performance. She recorded a double-double with 31 assists and 12 digs to go along with four aces and three kills. Rounding out the players in double-figure digs was libero Gianna Esposito (Larkspur, Calif.) at 11.
Topping Salve Regina offensively was Tara Kellenbarger and Annie Donahue with six kills each. Libero Megan Parham had a match-high 14 digs, while setter Samantha Salwa produced 23 assists.
Johnson & Wales wraps up the regular season on Saturday when it travels to Albertus Magnus to play the Falcons at 11 a.m. as well as Lasell at 1 p.m.
