BOSTON, Mass. – The last two undefeated teams during conference games faced off on Thursday night. The Johnson & Wales University women's volleyball team came out as the last unbeaten with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-21) victory at Emmanuel.

Emmanuel couldn't stopped the one-two punch of outside hitter Maria Coniglio (Old Bethpage, NY) and middle blocker Emily Kalmink (Byron Center, Mich.). Both players posted a match-high 13 kills. Coniglio just missed a double-double with nine digs. Kalmink posted a match-high four blocks for her 13th match this season with four or more rejections.
Johnson & Wales had the edge over the Saints in all phases of the game. The Wildcats out-hit the Saints .283-to-.096 with a 47-39 dig margin and 6-1 advantage in blocks. JWU was in complete control through the first two sets, including hitting .448 in the opening set. Emmanuel had an 18-15 lead in the third set, but JWU went on a 5-0 run that included a pair of Coniglio kills. The Wildcats have won 34 sets in a row.
Setter Brylee Frank (Palm City, Fla.) had her 13th game of 30 or more assists as she recorded 30 helpers. The Wildcats' offense was in system most of the night with 44 kills on 41 assists. Libero Gianna Esposito (Larkspur, Calif.) had a match-high 12 digs while Elizabeth Hamilton (Canton, Mass.) added 11.
The Wildcats are on the road for a pair of GNAC matches on Saturday. The Wildcats travel to St. Joseph's (ME) to take on the Monks at 3 p.m. after facing Mount Ida at 1 p.m.
