
RIVERSIDE, R.I. – Junior Claire Parry and sophomore doubles partner Drew Bobey grabbed a pair of victories for the Wildcats as the women's tennis team defeated University of Saint Joseph in their Great Northeast Athletic Conference home opener.

JWU jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles play thanks to the pairing of Kat Ledesma and Kourtney Moore.
Parry opened up singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Moore and first-year Emily Hill followed up with 6-0, 6-0 wins at third and second singles, respectively.
Wins from Gabriela Velazquez and Madison Allan secured the victory for the Wildcats. Bobey closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-4 win at four singles.
The Wildcats took all 6 singles matches to beat the Blue Jays 8-1.
