PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales women's soccer team defeated the Regis College Pride by a score of 5-0. Wildcats assisted on four of their five goals.
JWU: 14-6, 11-1 GNAC
REGIS: 8-10-1. 5-6-1 GNAC
Alexis Vieira broke through first on a beautiful centering pass from Cat Nolan to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. Fifteen minutes later Jordan Restivo fired a shot past the Regis keeper extending the lead to 2-0.
Chloe Henriksen opened scoring in the second half with a looping shot from 35 yards out, her third goal of the season. Jordan Petrucci collected a centering pass from Jordan Restivo and found the twine, extending the Wildcats lead to four. Cat Nolan added to her season total scoring 3:32 later on a goal line pass from Victoria Patriarca.
Four separate Wildcats tallied three points in the contest; Vieira, Nolan, Henriksen and Restivo.
Wildcats outshot the Pride 12-7.
The Wildcats will host the GNAC Semifinals versus the Lasers of Lasell University, Tuesday November 5 at 7 p.m. JWU defeated LU earlier this season at home 2-0, their first time since 2011.
