The Pride scored 15 minutes into the second half to even the score at one. The host Wildcats sent 11 shots on net in the second half that were all pushed aside by the Regis keeper, Ori Attridge, which helped send the match to overtime.

JWU sent three shots on frame on in each overtime period while disabling the attack for the Pride and holding them to zero shots. Cairrao took a shot from 18 yards out and went bar down to close out the match to extend the Wildcats win streak to 12.

Cairrao came into the match fourth in the nation in goals per game and top ten in points per game. This is the second time this season the Wildcats won a match 2-1 in double overtime; the last instance was September 15th versus Eastern Connecticut, the match that began the win streak.
