Women's Soccer Set to Host Breast Cancer Awareness Match on Oct. 30

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Johnson & Wales women's soccer team has something outside of their 11 game winning streak and 9-0 conference record on their mind this time of year. Coach Chris Flint's Wildcats are aiming to raise money by months end in hopes of finding a cure for breast cancer.

The Wildcats are hosting their "pink game" on October 30th at 7:30 p.m. at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletics Complex against Great Northeast Athletic Conference foe Anna Maria. They have set a goal of $1,000 to raise by the end of October, Breast Cancer Awareness month, with the funds being donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. All donations will help support life-saving research, treatment, education and community health programs for breast cancer.
