NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior Olivia Cairrao registered five goals in a 6-3 win against Albertus Magnus in GNAC action on Wednesday evening. Cairrao jumps into fourth all-time in the JWU record books for goals scored.

Cairrao opened up the scoring with back-to-back goals at 18:13 and 27:32 with an assist to Alexis Vieira on the second tally. A red card was issued to Wildcats goalkeeper Colleen Lynch which led to a penalty kick goal to cut the JWU lead to 2-1. The Wildcats outshot the Falcons 18-5 in the first half.
Jordan Restivo was key in the opening part of the second half. She assisted on the next two Wildcat goals in the 52nd and 55th minute. Cat Nolan collected her second goal of the season and second goal in as many GNAC matches to extend the Wildcats lead to 3-1 before Cairrao netted the hat trick for a 4-1 lead.
Albertus answered the bell and trailed by one after two goals 11 minutes apart. Cairrao buried her final two goals, including the final goal that she drove from 18 yards out and snuck under the crossbar, extending the score to the 6-3 final.
The Wildcats earned nine corners to the Falcons one while tallying 33 shots in the contest.
The Norwich Cadets come to Providence on Saturday, September 28 for a GNAC clash that will begin at 4 p.m.
