The only goal JWU would need came in the 35th minute. Rookie Victoria Patriarca got the loose ball from a scrum in front of the net and drove it home for the score.
Less than five minutes later, Olivia Cairrao scored the first of her two goals with a laser from 25 yards out. The Bristol, RI, native scored again in the second half to up her 2018 goal total to 13, the second-highest in the GNAC.
JWU's defense was stout all day as the Raiders were limited to only two shots with goalkeeper Colleen Lynch stopping the only shot on goal.
