WINTHROP, Mass. — As the season winds down, Johnson & Wales University junior Colleen Lynch is getting better and better. For the second week in a row, she was recognized with GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week.
A native of New Milford, Conn, Lynch picked up the seventh award of her career. Lasell's Erika Badger earned Player of the Week while Rookie of the Week went to Regis' Kaylee Francis.
Lynch did not allow a goal in a pair of conference victories as she stopped all seven shots she faced. She recorded a victory against Colby-Sawyer to start the week then went on the road to beat Norwich, 2-0. Following Monday's shutout of UMass Dartmouth, her scoreless streak is at 402 minutes. Lynch ranks fourth in the GNAC with a 1.33 goals against average.
The Wildcats are back in action Wednesday when they host Suffolk at 7 pm.
