Women’s Soccer Shuts Out Norwich 2-0

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – A pair of second-half goals combined with a stingy defense was a winning formula for the Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team on Saturday. The Wildcats went on the road to defeat Norwich, 2-0.

Of Note:
Over 60 minutes went by before the first goal was scored. Jaclyn Larsen took a long pass into the box then slid it to a charging Emily Zeblisky who buried into the back of the net.

Great passing led to the Wildcats insurance goal in the 88th minute. Mackenzie Willis slid a pass up the right side to Victoria Patriarca and she crossed it to a wide-open Jordan Restivo who tapped it home for her eighth goal of the year.

Johnson & Wales dominated the shot totals with a 25-6 advantage. Goalkeeper Colleen Lynch only had to make four saves for her sixth shutout of the year.

JWU plays its final non-conference game of the regular season Monday when the Wildcats host UMass Dartmouth at 7 p.m.
