Women’s Rowing Collects All-MARC Honors

LEWISBERRY, Pa. – While they weren't able to complete their spring season, the Johnson & Wales University women's rowing team was recognized for its efforts by the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference. Fifteen student-athletes were honored for their performance on the water and in the classroom.

Seniors Lauren Rohde and Caroline Donahue received All-MARC varsity honors. Rookie Ania Kwiecinski collected All-MARC novice honors.

Both Rohde and Donahue have made great progress throughout their career. Last year they were intricate to the second varsity eight taking third at the MARC Championship. This year they moved up to be key contributors to the varsity eight, including the Mechanicsburg, Pa. native Rohde serving as coxswain. A native of Tampa, Fla., Donahue was an Academic All-MARC selection. Coming to the Wildcats from Merrimack, NH, Kwiecinski was quickly becoming a key member of the novice eight.

To qualify for the academic all-conference award, student-athletes must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore in their second, third or fourth year of competition Earning the award for JWU was:
