Rowing Wraps Up Season at New England Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. – For the last time during the 2019-20 season, the Johnson & Wales University women's rowing team was on the water. The Wildcats took part in the 2019 New England Championships, held on Lake Quinsigamond.

Guided by coxswain Tatiana Windley and stroke Olivia Fougere, the Varsity 8 turned in the fastest time of the day, crossing the finish line in 7:24.95 to finish seventh in its heat.

The second Varsity 8 posted a time of 7:37.32 in the prelims to earn a spot in the third final where they took third with a time of 8:07.96. Lauren Rohde was the coxswain with Caroline Donahue handling the stroke duties.

Head coach William McLean should have another good team for the program's fifth season in 2019-20. He's only scheduled to lose Fougere and Sarah Eggert from the Varsity 8 boat.
