Women’s Lacrosse Receives Academic Honors From IWLCA

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Johnson & Wales University women's lacrosse team continues to be at the top of the GNAC when it comes to the field as well as academically. The three-time defending league champion, Johnson & Wales also topped all conference schools on the Zag Sports IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.

For the fifth year in a row, Johnson & Wales was recognized with an IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad award for having over a 3.0 team grade point average during the 2018-19 academic year. Head coach Jessica Scannapieco's program recorded a 3.14 GPA.

Five student-athletes earned a spot on the Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll for having at least a 3.50 GPA. Madeline Bishara, Anastasia DeLuca, Kathy Ensor and Erin Smith received the honor for the time in their career.

Johnson & Wales was one of three conference schools to earn the Academic Honor Squad recognition. The Wildcats' five members of the Academic Honor Roll were tops amongst the league.
