Wildcats Beat Sharks 20-5 for Fourth-Straight Trip to GNAC Title Game

PROVIDENCE, RI – The Johnson & Wales University women's lacrosse team quickly made sure its fourth-straight trip to the GNAC Championship game would not be in jeopardy. The Wildcats jumped out to a fast lead Wednesday night and never looked back in their 20-5 defeat of Simmons University.

Johnson & Wales: 15-4

Of Note:
Johnson & Wales will host Regis on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the GNAC Championship game. 

With five first-half goals, senior Allison Pazienski became the program's all-time leader in goals at 228. 

It took the Wildcats less than three minutes to get the first goal of the contest when Madeline Bishara found the back of the net. 

Dani Lydecker scored three times as JWU built a 7-0 lead 10 minutes into the first half. 

The Sharks went on a run of their own to make the score 8-3 on a Molly Reinhold goal. 

Pazienski scored three times and Maria Patane added two goals during a 5-0 run that sent the Wildcats into the half up 13-3. 

Johnson & Wales outscored the Shark, 7-2, in the second half including the 100th goal of senior Julianna Giello's career. 

The Wildcats outshot the Sharks, 42-12, won the draw control battle, 18-8, and had a 12-4 advantage in ground balls
