Wildcats Beat Chargers On the Road 15-6

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Johnson & Wales University women's lacrosse team moved one game closer to its third-straight regular season GNAC championship. The Wildcats picked up their 37th-straight conference win over Colby-Sawyer, 15-6, on Saturday.

Johnson & Wales: 12-4, GNAC 10-0
Colby Sawyer: 10-5, GNAC 7-4

Of Note:
The Wildcats opened the game strong with Allison Pazienski getting the first goal less than a minute into the contest. 

Dani Lydecker and Marley Medina would add to that lead, making it 3-0 before the Chargers got on the board.

Pazienski scored three more times as part of a 6-0 run as the visitors went into the intermission leading 9-1.    

Colby-Sawyer cut the lead to 10-4 – the closest any GNAC team has been to JWU in the second half of regular season in over a year – but the Wildcats finished the game on a 5-2 run.

The Wildcats outshot the Chargers, 31-16, and won 15-of-23 draw controls.

Sophomore goalkeeper Cassidy O'Hara turned away four shots for the 200th save of her career.

The Wildcats travel to Regis College for their last regular season conference game on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The winner will be the top seed for the upcoming GNAC Tournament.
