PROVIDENCE, RI – The Johnson & Wales University women's lacrosse team continued its impressive run through the conference Wednesday night. The Wildcats toppled the Albertus Magnus Falcons, 20-2.
Johnson & Wales: 5-2, GNAC 3-0
Albertus Magnus: 1-5, GNAC 1-3
JWU: Cassidy O'Hara (W 4-1) 3 Saves
AMC: Lexie Fenn (L 1-5) 12 Saves
The win was the Wildcats' 30th in a row versus GNAC opponents JWU's last conference loss came March 26, 2016 at Saint Joseph's (Me.).
The Falcons' Kaitlin D'Agostino scored the first goal just two minutes into the contest, but the Wildcats answered with seven-straight goals, including Maria Patane's first goal which was JWU's 100th of the year.
AMC's Madison Neil found the back of the net at the 12:20 mark, but it was answered by another Wildcats' 7-0 run to go into the locker room up 14-2.
JWU outshot the Falcons 29-2 in the first half and 46-6 overall. The Wildcats also had a 19-2 margin for draw controls.
Patane and Marley Medina scored three of their four goals in the first half.
Allison Pazienski had a hat trick in both halves, including three-straight to start the second half.
Sophia Kiasi scored her first collegiate goal at the 25:05 mark.
The Wildcats travel to Norwich on Saturday for a 2 pm start.
