WINTHROP, Mass. – Despite the Johnson & Wales University women's lacrosse team coming up short in a cross-state battle against Roger Williams, senior Allison Pazienski continued to gain respect from the conference. She was named GNAC Player of the Week by the league office.
A native of New Hyde Park, NY, Pazienski picked up her second consecutive weekly honor and the second in her career. Simmons' Cat Cross and Maegan Neelon claimed GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week and GNAC Rookie of the Week, respectively.
In the lone game last week against the Hawks, Pazienski tallied a game-high five goals and two assists. That pushed her season totals to a league-best 18 goals and 25 points.
The Wildcats will face the GNAC Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week Wednesday when they host Simmons at 7 p.m.
