As well as the Johnson & Wales University women's ice hockey team does on the ice, they are even more accomplished in the classroom. The Wildcats had nine student-athletes earn Krampade All-America Scholar honors from American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA).
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 grade point average for the fall semester and participated in 40% of their school's games. Goaltenders are exempted from the percentage of games played requirement.
The hockey program recorded a 3.63 GPA during the 2019-20 school year, including a 3.88 in the spring term.
