Wildcats Blank Pilgrims 3-0

PAWTUCKET, RI – On senior night it was a pair of juniors who did all the scoring for the Johnson & Wales University women's ice hockey team. The Wildcats picked up two key points in the race for a home NEHC playoff game by blanking New England College, 3-0, on Saturday.

New England College: 3-19-1, 0-12-1 NEHC
Johnson & Wales: 9-9-4, 6-4-3 NEHC

Of Note:
Hannah Tracy and Cassie Wakefield executed a perfect breakaway with Tracy scoring her team-leading 13th goal of the season to start the scoring at the 9:07 mark of the first period.

Tracy tied Kathryn Mason's single-season goals record of 14 with another score in the second period off the pass from Mason and Wakefield.

In the third period, the Wildcats added an insurance goal when Mason flipped the puck to Kaitlin Irvine in the neutral zone and she skated past an NEC defender then beat goalie Cianna Weir top shelf.

Johnson & Wales netminder Jasmine Mucci stopped all 26 shots she faced to record her first shutout of the year.
