EAST BOSTON, Mass. – Goals were tough to come by on Friday for the Johnson & Wales University women's ice hockey team. The Wildcats lost 8-0 at Suffolk University.
The loss dropped the Wildcats to 7-8-2 overall and 4-3-1 NEHC. The Rams upped their mark to 6-9-3, 6-3-1 in league action.
Suffolk got on the board at the 6:15 mark then added two more goals in the opening 20 minutes. The Rams added a pair of power play goals in the second period.
The Wildcats couldn't solve Suffolk goalie Kristen Caporusso as she stopped all 28 shots she faced.
Johnson & Wales is on the road Saturday to face Plymouth State at 2:30 p.m.
