JWU Women’s Ice Hockey Downs AMCATS 6-0

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. –The Johnson & Wales University women's ice hockey team's first-period lead was too much for Anna Maria College to come back from. The Wildcats picked up a 6-0 road win against the AMCATS.

Of Note:
Johnson & Wales had a fast start and finish to the first period. Kathryn Mason scored just 79 seconds into the game.

Caitlin Sweet scored her second goal of the period at the 17:38 mark then a minute later Taylor Davis tallied her first goal of the season.

Samantha Kawejsza scored for the third game in a row when she lit the lamp at the 9:59 mark of the second period.

JWU peppered AMC goalie Gabrielle Ohanesian with a season-high 66 shots, the second-highest total in school history.

Goaltender Taylor Duquette turned away all 13 shots she faced to record her first collegiate shutout.
