Women’s Ice Hockey Ties Nicholas College 2-2

HARRISVILLE, R.I.- The Johnson & Wales University women's ice hockey team held the lead for the majority of the game, but a Nicholas goal in the third period carried both teams into overtime. The Wildcats tied the Bison, 2-2.

Of Note:
Senior Captain Kathy Ensor got the Wildcat's on the board first. She scored her first goal of the season in the 9th minute of game, she was assisted by Kathryn Mason

 

Nichol' Abbey Lueken replied, scoring in the first 38 seconds of the second period. Her goal was assisted by Mel McAleer and Kelly Ferreria,

 

JWU's Drea Westgaurd then capitalized on a power play, taking the lead, 2-1.

 

Nichols scored again in the third period to tie the game. Unfortunately neither team scored in the extra five minutes
