Wildcats Land Third at NEIGA Championships

Brewster, Massachusetts – The Johnson & Wales University women's golf team competed on the second day of the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association championships Monday as they traveresed the Port Course on The Captain's Golf Course.  The Wildcats shot a 409 on the second day and finished the tournament with a 790 total to conclude their fall season.

Bates College ended up the overall champion on the day as they bested Husson University by two strokes as they show a 764 total.  Bates and Husson were tied through the first day of competition.  Paulette Romero from American International was the top individual performer of the tournament as she shot an event low 163.   

JWU's Alexis Anastos finished fourth overall on the tournament with a 177, fourteen shots back of the leader.  Hannah Lifschin talled a 102 on her second day finishing 12th.  Emily Schiesser shot a 107 on day two, while teammate Ashley Lewis posted a 109 finish.
