WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University women's golf team was back in action Saturday. The Wildcats took third at the Westfield State Invitational, hosted at the Shaker Farms Country Club.
Johnson & Wales fired a team score of 353, the lowest 18-hole score in school history. Suffolk won the event at 335 while Husson was second at 348.
A pair of Wildcats carded the best rounds of their JWU career. Sophomore Alexis Anastos finished second with a score of 77 to set the JWU single-round record. Just two spots back of her was Hannah Hall with an 80. Junior Caroline Mettler shot 97 and sophomore Toni Park was two shot back of her.
Johnson & Wales wraps up the regular season on Sunday when it takes part in the inaugural Northeast Women's Golf Conference Championship at Tekoa Country Club.
