JWU Women’s Golf Wraps Up Mt. Holyoke Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University women's golf team had a strong finish to its first tournament of the season. The Wildcats cut 12 strokes off their first round to finish 13th at the Mount Holyoke Invitational at The Orchards Golf Course.

JWU shot 382 on the second 18 holes for a two-day total of 776 (394-382). The host Lyons won the event at 669.

Leading the way was Alexis Anastos, who cut four strokes off her first round for a 36-hole total of 174 (89-85). Senior Hannah Hall was also better on Sunday for a 191 (96-95).

The biggest improvement came from Hannah Lifschin who knocked six strokes off her first round for a 202 (104-98). In her JWU debut, Toni Park notched a 209 (105-104). Completing the JWU contingency was Caroline Mettler at 221 (106-115).

Johnson & Wales gets back on the course next weekend at the Williams Fall Invitational.
