Women’s Golf Opens Play at Mount Holyoke Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The 2018-19 season got underway for the Johnson & Wales University women's golf team on Saturday. The Wildcats carded a 394 to start the Mount Holyoke Invitational at The Orchards Golf Course.

JWU is in 13th place after the opening round, trailing Suffolk by eight strokes. Amherst College leads at 313.

Topping the Wildcats was sophomore Alexis Anastos with an 89 on the opening loop. Senior Hannah Hall followed with a score of 96.

Junior Hannah Lifschin carded a 104 in her first round. Sophomore Toni Park posted a score of 105 in her JWU debut. Rounding out the scores was Caroline Mettler with a 106.

JWU wraps up the tournament with the final 18 holes on Sunday.
