Women’s Golf Shoots Season-Low Round

CRANSTON, RI – The consistent improvement for the Johnson & Wales University women's golf team continued on Saturday. The Wildcats hosted Wellesley and Rhode Island College in a tri match at the Alpine Country Club.

JWU shot its lowest team round of the season with a 399. Wellesley won the event at 338 while the Anchormen were third at 452.

Posting her second-lowest score of the season with a 92 was Megan LeBlanc (Madison, Conn.). Freshman Caroline Mettler (Buffton, Ind.) had a season-low 100 and classmate Hannah Lifschin (Denville, NJ) was next at 102 for her lowest 18-hole total.

Pawntip Prasith (Old Saybrook, Conn.) and Megan Ogden (Canadaigua, NY) tied for fourth on the team with a 105. It's the lowest round of the season for Ogden. Megan Janis (Commack, NY) competed as an individual, firing a 111.

The Wildcats wrap up the fall campaign when they host Suffolk on Saturday at 1 p.m.
