NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A pair of 20-point performances were not enough to get the Johnson & Wales University women's basketball team past Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday night. The Falcons defeated the Wildcats, 82-70.
Albertus Magnus: 21-3, 9-2 GNAC
Johnson & Wales: 6-18, 5-6 GNAC
Johnson & Wales had a 33-30 lead with 3:35 left in the second quarter on a Dede Stevenson free throws. Albertus Magnus finished the first half on a 10-0 run then outscored the Wildcats 12-1 to start the third quarter and build a 52-34 advantage.
