
BOSTON – For the majority of the game, the Johnson & Wales University women's basketball team was right there with Suffolk University. However, the Rams pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat the Wildcats, 67-60, on Saturday.

Johnson & Wales had a good first half, including a 58.3 shooting percentage in the second quarter. JWU had a 22-16 lead on a Dede Stevenson three-pointer three minutes into the second quarter before taking a 35-32 advantage at the half.
JWU took a 56-55 lead on a pair of Stevenson free throws midway through the fourth quarter, but the Rams responded with a 7-0 run that ultimately sealed the victory.
A pair of Wildcats reached double figures, topped by Stevenson's season-high and game-high 22 points. Ally Mishol just missed a double-double with 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
The free throw line was the difference in the game as the Rams went 16-of-24 from the line, compared to 8-for-11 by the Wildcats.
Johnson & Wales made eight three-pointers, but did commit 24 turnovers
