Love Potion No. 9 Wildcats Beat Mount Ida for Ninth-Straight Win

NEWTON, Mass. – A dominant second quarter sent the Johnson & Wales University women's basketball team to its ninth win in a row. The Wildcats took down Mount Ida, 76-50, on Tuesday.

Johnson & Wales: 17-7, 12-3 GNAC
Mount Ida: 7-17, 3-12 GNAC 

Statistical Leaders:
Ashley Thompson (JWU): 20 points
Raquel Pederzani (JWU): 18 points

Of Note:  
Three and a half minutes into the second period, the Mustangs pulled within 22-23 on a Katlyn Jesse 3-pointer. The Wildcats didn't allow another point the rest of the quarter as they went on a 15-0 run to finish the first 20 minutes up 38-22.

Junior Ashley Thompson (Bellingham, Mass.) led all players with 20 points. Classmate Raquel Pederzani (Coventry, RI) was right behind her at 18 points.
