|Title:||Assistant Softball Coach|
Julia Levins brings a wealth of knowledge about the Great Northeast Athletic Conference to the Johnson & Wales University softball staff as both a player and coach. She is in her second season as an assistant under head coach Kim Camara-Harvey.
Prior to joining Johnson & Wales, Levins spent four seasons on the staff at Mount Ida College. She was primarily responsible for working with the infielders and hitters while with the Mustangs. Off the field, she assisted with recruiting while leading up MIC’s academic support and fundraising.
Levins graduated from Emmanuel College as the program’s all-time leader in hits, games played, starts, walks, and runs scored. She held a .304 career batting average, knocked 130 base hits and scored 79 runs while also stealing 46 bases.
During her collegiate career, Levins played every position on the diamond, including pitcher, and she tossed a no-hitter her sophomore season. She earned team MVP and Unsung Hero honors, and served as team captain in both her junior and senior years.
A two-time All-GNAC selection, Levins was also named a 2014 NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete. She received a bachelor's degree in business management, economics and organizational leadership from Emmanuel in 2014.
