Brian Leiter is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Johnson & Wales Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Teams.  

Leiter graduated from Frostburg State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. He ran four years of track and field there becoming a decorated student athlete earning NCAA All-American accolade four times while also earning NCAA All-Academic honors two times. Brian also is the school record holder in the 800m (in), mile (in), DMR (in), 800m, and 1500m.

Upon graduating, Brian went on to begin coaching in 2010 where he volunteered to be an assistant coach for both cross country and track & field at Winters Mill High School. While doing so he coached two students to become girl’s and boy’s Maryland State Cross Country Champions. In 2011 he attended McDaniel College for his Masters in Art Education, where he also became an assistant coach. He coached a few of his runners to broke school records with his help and leadership.
