Men’s Cross Country Takes Third At Blazers Invitational

The men's cross country team finished in third place at the Elms Blazers Invitational on Saturday, tallying 63 points on the day.  Trinity took home first place with 21 points at the 11 team event.

Once again, sophomore Adam Sachs (Ellicott City, Md.) paced Johnson & Wales over the 8K course, notching a fifth place finish in a time of 28:30 while sophomore Alex Melnick (Port Jervis, N.Y.) finished in 13th place for the Wildcats with a time of 30:16.  Sophomore Harold Hennesey (Bolton, Conn.) had a time of 30:47 which was good for a 16th place finish while fellow sophomore Brandon Au (Oxford, Conn.) completed the course in a time of 31:15 which placed him 21st.  Freshman David Sherman (Yarmouthport, Mass.) rounded out the top-25 runners for the Wildcats, finishing 25th with a time of 31:24.

The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday, October 11th when they travel to the Westfield State Invitational starting at 10:00 a.m.
