Men’s Cross Country Places Fourth At GNAC Championship

Freshman Adam Sachs (Ellicott City, Md.) and senior Brian Dinan (Geneva, N.Y.) earned All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference accolades after finishing third and fourth respectively to lead the Johnson & Wales University men's cross country team to a fourth place finish at the 2013 GNAC Championship on Saturday.  The Wildcats finished with 68 team points while Emmanuel captured the team title with 49 points on the day.

Sachs ran the 8K course in a time of 28:16 which was good for a third place finish while Dinan was right behind him in a time of 28:18 for fourth place. Freshman Alex Melnick (Port Jervis, N.Y.) clocked in at 29:36 which was good for a 15th place finish while freshman Harold Hennesey (Bolton, Conn.) rounded out the top-20 runners for the Wildcats, placing 20th in a time of 29:53.

The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday, November 9th when they travel to Colt State Park in Bristol, R.I. for the ECAC Division III Championship.
