
Freshman Adam Sachs (Ellicott City, Md.) and senior Brian Dinan (Geneva, N.Y.) were in second and third place respectively to lead the men's cross country team to a third place finish at the St. Joseph's of Maine Running Monks Invitational on Saturday. The Wildcats finished with 121 team points while Emmanuel captured the team title with 67 points on the day.
Sachs ran the 8K course in a time of 28:17 which was good for a second place finish while Dinan was right behind him in a time of 28:21 for third place. Freshman Alex Melnick (Port Jervis, N.Y.) clocked in at 30:17 which was good for a 33rd place finish while freshman Harold Hennesey (Bolton, Conn.) rounded out the top-50 runners for the Wildcats, placing 44th in a time of 30:48.
The Wildcats will return to action on Friday, October 18th when they travel to Franklin Park for the Emmanuel Saints Invitational at 4:45 p.m.
