BOSTON – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference portion of the schedule began on Tuesday for the Johnson & Wales University men's volleyball team. The Wildcats went on the road to take down Emmanuel College, 3-0 (25-13, 25-10 25-13).

The Saints hung in with the Wildcats in the opening stages of each set, only to see Johnson & Wales pull away in the later stages. JWU went on 12-5, 15-5 and 11-6 runs to win each set.
The Wildcats hit at least .300 in each set, topping out at .500 in the middle stanza. For the match, JWU hit .400 while holding the hosts to -.092.
Five different players had four or more kills, topped by Zach Turner at eight. The Coventry, R.I. native also factored into six of the Wildcats' 11 blocks.
The Wildcats are on the road Saturday to take on MIT and Endicott.
