
BOSTON – The Johnson & Wales University men's volleyball team stayed ahead of the pack in the race for a first round home game during next week's GNAC Tournament. The Wildcats went on the road to defeat Emerson, 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-22), on Thursday.

Johnson & Wales: 19-9, 8-4 GNAC

Jack Pincince (JWU): 13 kills
Sanjae Holloway (JWU): 10 kills, 6 digs

Of Note:
The Johnson & Wales offense was rocking and rolling in the first two sets. JWU hit .560 in the opening stanza and .591 in the second. JWU outhit the Lions .467-to-.217 for the match.
Johnson & Wales closed the first set on an 8-2 run then produced a 10-3 run to win the second set that included a trio of Josh Pitzer kills.
Cameron Ponce just missed a double-double with 32 assists and nine digs. The majority of the assists went to Jack Pincince who had a game-high 13 kills and Sanjae Holloway who added 10 more winners.
