PROVIDENCE, RI – The Johnson & Wales University men's volleyball team wasted no time in defeating Lesley University on Monday. The Wildcats posted a 3-0 (25-8, 25-6, 25-5) victory over the Lynx.

The Wildcats set the tone for the match in the first set, running out to an 11-1 lead. Sets two and three started with 12-3 runs. Johnson & Wales hit .464 while holding the Lynx to -.154. The service line was JWU's biggest weapon as it rattled off 22 aces.
Setter Jason Rhee (Aurora, Colo.) produced 23 assists to go along with six aces, four digs and two blocks. Rookie outside hitter Michael Foglia (Wayne, NJ) notched a season-high 16 kills as well as a match-high six digs. Junior Hayden Crust (Irvine, Calif.) recorded eight aces.
Johnson & Wales gets back into GNAC action on Wednesday when it plays host to Mount Ida at 7:30 p.m.
