Men’s Volleyball Beats Albertus Mangus 3-0
PROVIDENCE, RI – The Johnson & Wales University men's volleyball team made quick work of visiting Albertus Magnus on Monday night to get its first GNAC win of the season. The Wildcats defeated the Falcons 3-0 (25-6, 25-12, 25-15).

Johnson & Wales: 7-7, 1-1 GNAC

Jason Rhee (JWU): 30 assists

Of Note:  
Johnson & Wales got off to a fast start in the first set, going on a 21-2 run that included five Kyle MacKnight (East Northport, NY) aces. Set two started with Jason Rhee (Aurora, Colo.) serving six-straight points during an opening 7-0 run.

A pair of freshmen topped the JWU offense. Michael Foglia (Wayne, NJ) led the team with 10 kills while Matt McCarthy (Millis, Mass.) had nine winners. Rhee dished out 30 assists and Donovan Kelley (Encinitas, Calif.) racked up four blocks.

Albertus Magnus was led by Felix Rivas' team-high seven kills. Setter Alijah McGhee had 13 assists and Brian Reyes added eight digs.

The Wildcats continue conference action on Wednesday when they travel to Rivier for a 7 p.m. contest.
