Men’s Tennis Drops 6-3 Decision to Salve Regina

PROVIDENCE, RI – Inclement weather kept the Johnson & Wales University men's tennis team from opening the season last week. The Wildcats finally got on the courts Sunday, but they were defeated 6-3 by Salve Regina.

Johnson & Wales dropped to 0-1 while the Seahawks improved to 1-2.

Senior Ryan Schiele (Lusby, Md.) and Gianni Rodriguez factored into all three points. The duo teamed up to win 8-0 at number one doubles. During number one singles, Schiele beat Will Masse, 8-6. Rodriguez took down Kevin Brocks, 8-2, at number two.

The Wildcats are back on the court during the spring portion of their schedule.
