The men's tennis team blanked Albertus Magnus 9-0 in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest on the road on Saturday afternoon.
Johnson & Wales was led by junior James Adriano (Pawcatuck, Conn.) who posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles and teamed with freshman Mariusz Wala (Woonsocket, R.I.) for an 8-2 win n 8-0 win at the No. 1 doubles spot for the Wildcats. Wala also had a 6-2, 6-0 win at the second singles spot.
With the win Johnson & Wales improves to 4-3 on the season and 2-1 in the GNAC while Albertus Magnus falls to 1-4 for the year and 0-3 in league play. The Wildcats will return to action on Monday, April 9th when they travel to intra-state rival Rhode Island College for a non-conference contest, starting at 3:30 p.m.
