In the second half, JWU opened up the gates. JP Rioux started the barrage with a penalty kick goal in the 46th minute of play. Shortly after, Nick Gutekunst tacked on an unassisted goal at the 50th minute. JWU controlled the ball for most of the match garnering 26 shots to the Pride's five whereas the corners were a closer margin as the Wildcats managed four to Regis' two.
The Wildcats wait to see who they play on Saturday when the opening round of the GNAC playoffs begin. Their quarterfinal match will begin at 1 p.m. at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletics Complex.
