Providence, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team travelled to Nashua, N.H. for an evening match with the Rivier University Raiders on Friday.  The conference match would be the Wildcats second on the season, the Raiders' third, and JWU garnered the 2-0 road victory to remain undfeated in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference in September.

Johnson & Wales: 6-2 (2-0 GNAC)

Of Note:

Wildcats pressed the Raiders from the get go in this one.  Nick Gutekunst would land his team's first goal in the 43rd minute with the assist from Austin Sweeney.  The ball from Sweeney was one touched by Gutekunst and launched into the lower corner of the net for Gutekunst's sixth goal on the year.

JWU secured the decision in the second half when Erik Schneider headed a ball home from a cross ignited by Garrett Groeling in the 87th minute.   

JWU dominated the shot attempts 21 to 2 while the corners were also in the Wildcats favor 5 -0.

The Wildcats hold court at home on Sunday when they host state rival Salve Regina University.
