Wildcats Outmanuever Panthers in Plymouth

Plymouth, N.H. – The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team claimed their third victory with a solid outing against Plymouth State University on Tuesday.  The Wildcats mustered two goals early on in the first half and capped the match with another goal late in the second half for the result.

Plymouth State: 1-3

Johnson & Wales: 3-2

Szymon Gawlick  (JWU) : 1 goal, 1 assist

Of Note:

In the beginning of the match, with only four mintes gone, JWU's JP Rioux headed in the first goal of the afternoon for Johnson & Wales. 

The Wildcats would strike again quickly in the 8th minute when Szymon Gawlick capitalized from a cross by Erik Schneider to give JWU a 2-0 advantage on his first career goal.

The two teams would play stalemate ball until Rioux and Gawlick connected in the 82nd minute to cap the match.  Gawlick set up Rioux for his second goal on the day and the 12th of his young career.

The Wildcats were in command on shots and corners with a 12 to 8 and 7 to 3 advantage, respectively.

The Wildcats return home to the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletics Complex on Saturday at 1 p.m. when they host Suffolk for their first conference match of the 2019 season.
