Gutekunst Powers Wildcats Past Chargers 1-0
PROVIDENCE, RI – The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team got back on the winning track in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference with a one to nil victory  over the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday. In a defensive-minded game, both teams had good scoring chances late in the match, however the Wildcats held on for the victory.

Of Note:
JWU's Nick Gutekunst provided the only goal of the night with an unassisted blast from the top of the box that deflected slightly off a Charger player and past Colby-Sawyer keeper Shane Sacks.
 
The match was physical throughout with 14 fouls for both teams.
 
Wildcats edged the Chargers in shots, 11-7, and amassed a 5-1 corners advantage.

The Wildcats see fellow GNAC foe Albertus Magnus visit Providence this Saturday for a 12 pm start.
