NEWTON, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team earned a key Great Northeast Athletic Conference win Monday when they visited Lasell College in a match that was rescheduled due to weather. The Wildcats broke a 1-1 tie with two goals late in the first half on their way to a 5-1 final.

Johnson & Wales: 4-1-1, 2-1  GNAC

Of Note:
JWU's Riley McNicholas and JP Rioux had two goals a piece, while Tucker McPherson notched his first goal of the year. 
 
Rioux and McNicholas lead the team in points with 12 and 10, respectively.
 
 
Lasell's Simon Nigro tied the match with a goal in the 21st minute of the first half. McNichols answered with scores in the 29th and 43rd minutes to give the Wildcats some breathing room. 
 
The Wildcats controlled the game with a 18-5 advantage in shots and 8-3 advantage in corners.

The Wildcats host GNAC newcomer, Colby-Sawyer, on Wednesday with a 5 pm start.
