Wildcats Cement First GNAC Win 5-0 Over Regis
PROVIDENCE, RI – The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team jumped out early in Saturday's Great Northeast Athletic Conference match with Regis College. The Wildcats got three goals in the first half on their way to a 5-0 victory over the Pride.

Of Note:
In a game with plenty of physicality, JP Rioux set the tone for the Wildcats in the first half with two assists. In the 20th minute he set a free kick into the box that Riley McNicholas headed in for the first goal. Just 11 minutes later, another pass into the box resulted in Nick Gutekunst's first collegiate goal
 
Gutekunst found the back of the net just before intermission as he took the long pass from Aleix Flores and scored. The rookie had a five-point game thanks to an assist on Teagan Drake's goal in the second half.
 
Rioux helped cement the victory when took a breakaway pass and scored from 10 yards out just 80 seconds into the second half.
 
Johnson & Wales commanded a 17-9 advantage in shots.

The Wildcats hit the road on Tuesday when they travel to Newton, Mass., to take on the Lasers of Lasell College.
