Men’s Soccer Defeats Lasell 1-0

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A first-half goal was all the Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team would need on Saturday. The Wildcats ran their undefeated streak to 13 matches with a 1-0 win over Lasell.

Of Note:
Johnson & Wales – ranked 10th in the United Soccer Coaches regional poll – ran its winning streak to six games. JWU has wrapped up the number two seed for the upcoming GNAC Tournament.

In the 29th minute, Jozef Jennings (Barrington, R.I.) sent a through ball that Jazario Brimmer (Pembroke, Bermuda) tapped in for his fourth goal of the year

Neither team would score the rest of the way, but JWU had plenty of opportunities. The Wildcats had a 22-3 advantage in shots, including 10 on goal, compared to one by the Lasers. Lasell goalkeeper Mattaeo Cugno limited the JWU scoring by making nine saves.
